Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 2 saw Takagi and Nishikata take some huge steps forward in their relationship, but there’s still plenty left unsaid.
The following contains spoilers for Season 2 of Teasing Master Takagi-san, now streaming on Netflix.
It’s been two years since Season 2 of Teasing Master Takagi-san wrapped up, and ever since, fans have waited with bated breath to see what happens next. Takagi and Nishikata’s ongoing competition to embarrass each other led to some massive progress towards the romantic, but there are still certain mysteries that were left dangling in front of audiences at the end of the season. With the debut of Season 3 on the horizon, here are a few of the most tantalizing questions Season 2 left behind for fans of the anime.
How Did Takagi Change Her Appearance?
In Episode 2, Nishikata tried to pull a fast one on Takagi by challenging her to spot the difference in his appearance. While he thought that he would stump her, since all he did was cut a bit of his hair, Takagi used her usual mind tricks to intuit his deceptive ploy. Turning the joke around, she told him that she was going to subtly change her appearance the next day for him to guess the difference.
Though it’s never shown how she altered her looks, one can’t help but guess what the change was. Did she put on lip gloss to make him panic over her shiny lips? Did she put in color contacts to get him to blush while looking into her eyes? Knowing Takagi’s sly ways, she’s sure to have come up with an answer that would end in a pyrrhic victory, even if Nishikata was right.
Were The Chocolates In Nishikata’s Locker From Takagi?
Nishikata spent most of Valentine’s Day agonizing over the possibility of receiving chocolates from Takagi, unsure how he would react to them. After finding chocolates in his locker after school, he panicked, thinking that they were a secret confession of love from Takagi. However, he dismissed his fears shortly after once she showed up and gave him some friendship chocolates directly. Of course, this still leaves the question as to who actually left the chocolates in the locker.
Despite Nishikata brushing off the condundrum, signs do still point to Takagi, as she previously told a classmate that she had delivered hers that morning in some sneaky way. If that were the case, that would mean that she prepared decoy chocolates to give him afterward. While it would be an impressive maneuver, her embarrassment at giving them to Nishikata directly might mean that she’s not as cool-headed as she appears.
