After days of listeners pleading with KOST-FM (103.5) to announce the date and time for the radio station’s annual changeover to round-the-clock Christmas music, morning host Ellen K put them out of their misery on Monday and revealed the time during her show.

It’s exactly as we predicted a few days ago: At 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, the nightmare before Christmas music goes 24/7 will be over, and the sounds of the holiday season will begin to jingle again.

“Christmas music on Friday!!!!!” exclaimed Facebook commenter Sweet Sugar. “Thank you so much!!!!!!!! Finally I can set up my Christmas tree.”

To be fair, it’s not like KOST was stopping you, but point taken: You’re pumped up and ready to jingle bell rock.

So, now all that’s left is the second-most important question KOST Kris Kringlers will want to know: What will be the first song Ellen K plays when she drops the digital needle on the virtual vinyl at 9 a.m. Friday?

Sorry, but you’re gonna have to wait a little more for the answer to that one.
